about me

if i had to describe myself in one expression, it would be "problem solver"

ever since i was a kid, i have been bombarding myself with information. i have always been curious about how things work, and i love to learn new things. when it was time to choose what to study, i chose computer science because that's what my dad did.

that's when i realized that making computers do things is pretty fun. i quickly found an internship at a local company and learned the basics of programming in a well organized environment. my courses have always gone swimmingly and even though i spent thousands of hours playing video games and had a part time job as a software developer, i always got very good grades.

nearing my third year of university, i chose AI courses because that's what was supposed to be hard and hard is interesting. the math was no problem, but i really enjoyed the number of assignments we got. deadlines were sometimes hard because i always started them the day before they were due, but i learned a lot. the following year, i graduated with a thesis oriented towards computer vision.

i constantly ask myself if it was really the right choice, but i applied to a master's program in computer science anyway. i took all the AI courses in the first year. they seemed quite repetitive overall since there was no requirement of prior AI knowledge. some of the courses were good though, like natural language processing and advanced computer vision.

now i'm in my second year of master's. in the past year, i rediscovered my curiosity and passion for learning. the arrival of LLMs was a big part of it. i can ask them whatever, whenever. it's a blessing.

that's why i started building things. here i am. learning and doing things.
